No Tar Heels on the preseason All-ACC team...Thank goodness all these Big East studs are here to show the ACC neophytes how to play basketball now...John Swofford threw out some interesting possibilities for the 2016 ACC Tournament...

Sure, Marcus...Interesting analysis of where Wayne Ellington fits with the Mavs...Tickets to see visits from Duke and Carolina sold very quickly for Syracuse...Ty Lawson is making use of his National Team experience with the Nuggets...
Olympic sports
Don't forget: you can make the women's soccer home match against Syracuse part of your Zero Dark Thursday activities (watch on GoHeels TV)...Speaking of which, you can also vote for Kealia Ohai for the Senior CLASS award...
Today's games
Men's and women's tennis are in the ITA Carolinas Regionals. Women's soccer hosts Syracuse at 2 p.m. And football hosts Miami at 7:45 on ESPN.
Tar Heels in the NFL
T.J. Yates is splitting time at QB in the absence of Matt Schaub. Remember that Case Keenum played at Houston so there is a hometown element...As long as there are Hakeem Nicks trade rumors, why not Nicks to the Panthers?
Today in Tar Heel history
It's been 21 years since Carolina played football on Oct. 17. That was a 1992 victory over No. 17 Virginia, 27-7. The win was UNC's first over a ranked team in a decade, and was part of a two-game back-to-back home stretch that saw Carolina beat two ranked teams in two weeks (the second was Georgia Tech). It was the first time in school history that the Tar Heels beat top 20 teams on consecutive weekends.
