Tar Heel players, including the ever-quotable Eric Ebron, spoke after Tuesday's (chilly!) practice:
Tar Heels in the NFL
He's had trouble getting on the field, but the Broncos still like Sylvester Williams' future.

Tokoto we saw in the first half against Oakland could be a major story this year if he can do that consistently...SI's season preview for the Tar Heels...Rebounding numbers, Nate Britt defensive adjustments, Neil Fingleton update and more in this Adam Lucas hoops notebook...Today is the first day of the early signing period, so expect some news as the letters of intent officially arrive.
In case you missed it, ACC scores from last night: Kansas beat Duke 94-83, Virginia Tech had a great comeback to beat West Virginia, 87-82, VCU beat UVA, 59-56, in a very entertaining game, NC State lost 68-57 at Cincinnati, and Wake Forest, Syracuse and Pittsburgh all won games they should win.
Within the next month, the Tar Heels will play both Kentucky and Michigan State. If you want to do some advance reading, here's a good take on their meeting last night...
Also last night, from the UNC coaching tree, Jeff Lebo's ECU team edged Wes Miller's UNCG squad, 85-84. Also in the Tar Heel coaching fraternity, Jerod Haase's UAB club got a good win over Rutgers on Monday. Carolina plays at UAB on Dec. 1.
Tar Heels in the NBA
John Henson expects to have a bigger role with Larry Sanders out, and he had 18 points last night against the Heat...Vince Carter had 16 as the Mavs beat the Wizards...Eight points and three rebounds for Harrison Barnes in Golden State's win. Carter, by the way, is the oldest player on the Mavs, but also might be one of the most important...Ty Lawson is having an All-Star type start to the season...Sweatpants are making a comeback, but in the NBA, sweatpants can cost $550...Raymond Felton says he has to play harder...Here's an update on the status of Kendall Marshall:

Good feature on the men's lacrosse team shaving their heads to benefit cancer research:

Today in Tar Heel history
Nov. 13, 2011: Just two days after playing in the Carrier Classic, the Tar Heels traveled to Asheville for a "home" game for Roy Williams, as they opened UNC Asheville's new arena with a 91-75 win over the Bulldogs.
Long read
This first-person story from Stuart Scott is two things: a glimpse behind the personality you know from ESPN, and a real look at what it's like to fight cancer three times. Highly recommended.
