November 25, 2013 | General
Football
First and most importantly, our condolences to the family of Griff Graves. A Chapel Hill attorney who knew virtually everyone in town, Griff and his family are also fixtures on the Tar Heel football sideline. Griff passed away this weekend and everyone at Carolina has the family in their thoughts.
A UNC-centric look at the bowl picture...This bowl projection has Carolina in Charlotte...So does this one...By the time the Tar Heels got back to the locker room after the win over ODU, there were already reminders of last year's loss to Duke...T.J. Logan had four touchdowns--or, "a normal T.J. day"--against Old Dominion...One of the easiest ways to recap a Tar Heel football game is with the GoHeels Storify...The highlights from the ODU win take up over eight minutes. Hey, it takes a while to score 80:

Darian Durant is close to a rock star in Canada and has shown maturity this year...That rock star status will only increase as he led Saskatchewan to a Grey Cup title last night.

Today in Tar Heel history
Nov. 25, 1978: Famous Amos Lawrence scored on an 11-yard draw play with 13 seconds left to cap a Tar Heel comeback in one of the best Kenan Stadium games ever, as Carolina topped Duke, 16-15.
Long read
If you know the name Danny Talbott but aren't sure about his achievements, this story is a good look back at 50 years ago, when Talbott led Rocky Mount to three state titles in the same year.
