UNC To Play Seven Games On ESPN3, ESPNU

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the broadcast coverage today for its Olympic sports for the upcoming spring season. UNC softball will have seven games featured on ESPN3and one Monday night game on ESPNU.
The league's schedule includes 159 events--the highest ever in the history of ACC Spring Olympic Sports, nearly doubling the previous mark of 82 set last year.
"I'm extremely pleased that our spring sports continue to grow exponentially in coverage," said ACC Commissioner John Swofford. "We continue to be appreciative of our television partners and their efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for our student-athletes, schools and fans."
In addition to the games announced by the ACC, GoHeels.com will also be streaming an additional 10 games.
North Carolina is set to open the 2013 season this weekend at LSU's Tiger Classic Tournament in Baton Rouge, La.
The Tar Heels will face Tulsa in their opening game on Friday, Feb. 8, and will also play Purdue, Hampton and host LSU throughout the weekend. LSU avanced to the 2012 College World Series and was ranked No. 10 in the USA Today/NFCA preseason poll. Tulsa also received votes in the preseason rankings.
