CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Carolina softball assistant head coach Boo Gillette has been named the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Arizona State, the Sun Devils announced Tuesday.
Gillette joined the North Carolina staff in 2010 and just completed her third season with the Tar Heels, coordinating the team's recruiting efforts and serving as the bullpen and base-running coach.
"I would like to wish Boo the best in her new position as the assistant softball coach at Arizona State," UNC head coach Donna J. Papa said. "Boo has done an outstanding job over the last three years of securing recruits for the future of our program, working with our pitchers and catchers, and in all phases of our program.
"I have really enjoyed working with her and appreciate the effort and energy she put into our program. She has represented UNC softball with class, pride and professionalism. I know that she will bring great energy to the program at Arizona State."
