If you're trying to plan your bye Saturday away from Tar Heel football, here's the weekend's football TV schedule.
Football
Marquise Williams has quietly had a solid start to the season...Tight end is being described as "a marquee position," and Eric Ebron is one of three very good ones in the ACC...Which states produce the most college football players (you can probably guess the top three)...The helmet for Military Appreciation Day (reminder: got your shirt yet?) was revealed on Twitter yesterday and received rave reviews:

Today's games
Top-ranked women's soccer travels to Blacksburg tonight at 7 p.m. The Hokies are ranked No. 22 in the Soccer America poll and beat a top-ranked Tar Heel team in 2009.
Tar Heels in the NFL
Add another Tar Heel to the NFL roster, as Shaun Draughn signed with the Ravens...Hakeem Nicks is one of the stars of a New Era commercial, and here's a look at the finished product.
Today in Tar Heel history
Sept. 12, 1981: 13th ranked Carolina opened the season with a 56-0 whipping of East Carolina. Kelvin Bryant rushed for six touchdowns, but more memorably, he handed the ball to paralyzed former teammate Steve Streater after the fifth and six touchdowns.
Long read
How do you know a list of the best basketball movies ever is too long? When Celtic Pride is actually on the list. More importantly: Hoosiers at number NINE?!? Uh, no.
