Jan. 3, 1998: Top-ranked Carolina edged No. 21 Clemson, 73-70, at Littlejohn Coliseum. Shammond Williams scored 15 of his 24 points in the second half. After the Tigers cut the UNC lead to 64-62 late, Ademola Okulaja nailed a three-pointer to stretch the advantage.
