Friday: Kendall Marshall was great, with 20 points, 15 assists and one turnover, in his first start for the Lakers...Marvin Williams had 11 points and five rebounds in that same game for the Jazz...Harrison Barnes had nine points and five rebounds off the bench for the Warriors...Brandan Wright (who has been a strong boost to the Mavs since returning from injury) had 12 points and Vince Carter added eight for the Mavs...Ty Lawson had 18 points and 12 assists in steering Denver to a win (pretty good night for the UNC point guards)...
Sunday: Ed Davis had 17 points and 11 rebounds as Memphis whipped Detroit...Tyler Zeller pulled down eight rebounds in 21 minutes...Harrison Barnes scored 13 points to go with six rebounds as Golden State thumped Washington...Carter had 13 points and Wright scored seven for Dallas...The headliner came in a Ty Lawson vs. Kendall Marshall matchup in Los Angeles. Lawson (20 points, 12 assists) got the win, but Marshall had a solid nine points and 17 assists. That puts Marshall in elite company:
