Tar Heels Bike To Uganda, In A Manner Of Speaking
October 16, 2014 | Women's Rowing, Women's Tennis, Volleyball, Track & Field, Fencing, Carolina Outreach
For the third year in a row, Carolina Athletics joined with the UNC campus to support Building Tomorrow's Bike to Uganda project. Members of the rowing, men's and women's fencing, volleyball, women's tennis and men's and women's track and field teams, as well as athletic department staff members, rode stationary bikes in the Pit this week to raise funds to build a new primary school in Uganda. Volunteers donate $5 for each 30-minute session he or she rides. One hundred percent of the donations go toward funding schools.
