It's a great cause...A very good (long) read on how basketball officials are evaluated during the NCAA tournament, and the human side of that process...I'm just going to assume that there is absolutely no one who doesn't want words and photos of Jackson Simmons doing the Nae Nae...
12 points and 11 rebounds for Tyler Hansbrough...12 points and seven rebounds for John Henson...Kendall Marshall passed out 15 assists...Six points and seven rebounds for Harrison Barnes.
Football
Lee Pace takes a look on the offensive transition for the 2014 Tar Heels...One of Julius Peppers' new Green Bay teammates is very impressed with Peppers...
Olympic sports
Matt Harvey went to a Knicks game with a model, and the New York tabloids did what New York tabloids do...Fun night at The Rammys last night...Get to know Isaac Presson, one of Carolina's most decorated student-athletes in track...As of this writing, it's not an especially conducive day for baseball, but if the weather will clear out a little bit, the Diamond Heels and NC State will meet for the only time this year at a sold-out DBAP tonight...No program at UNC, and maybe in college sports, does as good a job of capturing the goofy behind the scenes part of the team as well as women's soccer:
Today's games
Baseball tangles with NC State at 7 p.m. in Durham.
Tar Heels in MLB
Brian Roberts had an MRI on his sore lower back and will be evaluated again at the end of the week...Kyle Seager had two hits and drove in a run, and Dustin Ackley added a hit and RBI...Seager isn't hitting well at the outset of the reason, but Seattle is confident he'll come around...Rob Wooten saw his first action since being recalled to Milwaukee and pitched a scoreless two-thirds of an inning.
Long read
