UNC Set For Midweek ACC Series At Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - After missing a couple games this weekend due to inclement weather, the Tar Heels are ready to get back to action with an ACC doubleheader at Boston College on Wednesday.
UNC's games with No. 6/7 Alabama and Georgia Southern on Saturday were canceled due to rain and field conditions. The Crimson Tide held on for a 4-3 win in Friday's game with UNC, as the Tar Heels set a new Anderson Stadium attendance record of 2,048 fans.
The Tar Heels will play a doubleheader series at 1 and 3 p.m. on Wednesday to start off their final week of regular season play. UNC will host ACC foe NC State this weekend to close out the regular season.

Scouting the Matchup:
UNC is 27-3 all-time against BC and swept the Eagles in their 2013 series, 5-0, 10-4 and 10-4.
North Carolina: The Tar Heels are 22-23 overall and rank fifth in ACC standings with a 13-9 mark. Jenna Kelly (.353) leads Carolina with 35 RBIs, 30 runs and 47 hits, including 10 home runs. Kristen Brown (.322) has a team-high 44 RBIs and 36 runs and has tallied 12 homers, as has Amber Parrish, who has 35 RBIs for the year. In the circle, Lori Spingola is 16-12 with a 3.23 ERA and has fanned 135 in 162.2 innings. Lauren Batten (4.09 ERA) is 4-4, and Kendra Lynch (5.40 ERA) is 1-6.
Boston College: Tory Speer is batting .315 with 38 RBIs and 28 runs to lead the Eagles, who are 25-19 and 9-11 in ACC play. Tatiana Cortez (.212) has a team-high 40 RBIs with nine home runs, and Alana DiMaso (.260) has notched 29 runs and 22 RBIs with five homers. Nicole D'Argento is a dual threat at the plate and in the circle. She has posted 22 RBIs and 26 runs with 31 hits, and is 15-12 with 164 strikeouts in 180 innings pitched. Similarly, Jordan Weed is 9-7 with 51 strikeouts in 92.2 innings while also adding 25 RBIs and 12 runs with five homers, for the Eagles.
