Maze Day A Highlight For Tar Heels
May 8, 2014 | Men's Basketball, Fencing, About, Carolina Outreach
CHAPEL HILL - Amid the craziness of final exams, members of the University of North Carolina men's and women's basketball teams and the men's fencing team took time out to help with a special event.
On April 30, a reading day in UNC's exam schedule, Tar Heels pitched in at Maze Day, in which the UNC Department of Computer Science hosts K-12 students with visual impairments for a day of games and activities they might not ordinarily be able to take part in.
The students come from all over North Carolina, and sometimes from out of state to participate in the event, which has been offered annually since 2005.
