Loeb Remains No. 1 In Final ITA Rankings For 2013-14

In doubles, Carter and Loeb are ranked third, while Price and Whitney Kay come in at No. 9. Laura Slater and Kate Vialle are 57th.
Loeb wrapped up an impressive season with a 53-4 singles record, including a 19-1 mark in the fall. The Ossining, N.Y., product won the 2013 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships and Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships. She has been ranked in the No. 1 spot in the ITA Division I National Singles Rankings since February 11, and is the first female from North Carolina to be the top-ranked singles player.
Loeb, the ITA National Rookie of the Year, led her team to a runner-up finish at the 2014 NCAA Team Championships.
The top singles seed in the NCAA Championship, Loeb advanced to the quarterfinals of both the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship held last month in Athens, Georgia.
Carter wrapped up her campaign with a 50-7 singles mark. The ACC Freshman of the Year also advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Championship after entering the event as the No. 7 overall seed.
The ITA All-America teamed up with Loeb as the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Doubles Championship, advancing to the quarterfinals.
Price recorded a 25-8 mark in singles play during her junior season with the Tar Heels. The Duluth, Georgia, native also earned All-America status this past season along with doubles teammate Whitney Kay. The Carolina tandem advanced to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Championship.
Dai completed her sophomore season with a 17-10 overall singles record.
Carter and Loeb recorded a 34-6 doubles mark, while Kay and Price compiled a 25-8 record. Slater and Vialle finished at 13-8.
North Carolina finished the season ranked No. 3 nationally after reaching the national championship match for the first time in program history.
