Complete Carolina
For student-athletes who leave Carolina before completing their undergraduate degree, no matter how long they've been gone, Carolina has formalized a degree completion program—Complete Carolina—which assists them in returning to Chapel Hill and achieving academic success.
Â
Complete Carolina, which is managed by the Department of Athletics, provides financial support to all returning student-athletes, proportional to a student's athletics aid during initial enrollment as a student-athlete, including tuition, fees, room, board and books.
Â
Complete Carolina began with the 2015-16 academic year, and as of January 2018, more than a dozen Tar Heels had earned their degrees using the program – with many more taking classes with degrees as their goal.
To participate in Complete Carolina, students must be former scholarship athletes who left UNC in good academic standing. For complete eligibility requirements and to receive information on this program, former student-athletes should complete this form to be contacted by the Department of Athletics.
