Former Tar Heel Claims ATP Doubles Title

UNC men's tennis alum Nick Monroe won his third ATP doubles title Sunday in Stockholm, Sweden, teaming with Jack Sock to claim the crown at the If Stockholm Open. The second-seeded duo beat Mate Pavic and Michael Venus 7-5, 6-2 in the final.
Monroe is ranked No. 54 in the world in doubles and was playing in his second event with Sock, the 2013 Wimbledon doubles winner. The former Tar Heel is now 3-4 in ATP finals, with all three wins coming in Sweden.
