North Carolina (19-0, 7-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) took the early lead over the Demon Deacons with a pair of 8-2 victories in doubles on courts two and three, respectively.
No. 18 Hayley Carter and Whitney Kay were first off on court two, while No. 36 Ashley Dai and Kate Vialle followed soon after on court three to garner the 1-0 lead.
Vialle was first off in singles on court four, surrendering only two points in a 6-2, 6-0 win over Luisa Fernandez.
Carter was next to post a victory, winning 6-2, 6-2 over Xue Zhang on court two. Dai continued her stellar play this week with a 6-1, 6-1 victory on court five to clinch the victory.
Loeb cleaned up a win on court one, 6-2, 6-4 over Kimmy Guerin to make it 5-0 in favor of the Tar Heels.
Price and freshman Marika Akkerman were pushed to third-set tie breakers on courts three and six respectively, but were ultimately victories to close out the shutout.
Carolina will host No. 15 Clemson on Friday at 3 p.m. and Pittsburgh on Sunday at 1 p.m.
