Former Golfer Casey Grice Runner-up At Symetra Tour Event

Grice has three top-10 Symetra Tour finishes and was the recipient of the first Symetra Tour ANNIKA Academy Elite Athlete Award last fall. Grice best demonstrated the same “Winning Approach” philosophy, which Annika Sorenstam used during her playing days.
Grice was a three-time golf standout at North Carolina, 2010-12 – 2012-13. She was selected Honorable Mention All-America in 2012 and 2013 and was also selected to the All-ACC team in 2012 and 2013.
Two other former Tar Heels recorded top-30 finishes. Katherine Perry, also volunteer assistant coach for UNC, tied for 22nd place with a 4-over 292 total with rounds of 79-68-72-73. Catherine O'Donnell finished one stroke back at 5-over 293 after rounds of 70-75-75-73 to tie for 26th place.
Perry, Cary, N.C., was a four-year starter for the Tar Heels, 2010-11 – 2013-14. Shw was selected to the 2012 All-ACC team and was named NGCA All-America Honorable Mention that same year. Perry was a three-time selection to the All-ACC Academic Women's Golf Team (2012-2014) and chosen to the ACC Honor Roll four times (2011-2014). She was the 2011 North Carolina Women's Amateur Champion and was the runner-up in 2012. She competed in the 2012 U.S. Women's Open.
O'Donnell, from Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., was a four-time All-ACC performer and an All-America performer at Carolina and was selected the ACC Freshman of the Year in 2009. She won three collegiate tournaments and won a 2013 SunCoast Ladies Tour event. She has played on the Symetra Tour the last two years and has carded four top-10 finishes. O'Donnell participated in the 2014 U.S. Women's Open in Pinehurst. She was a gold medal winner at the 2010 University World Championships and represented Team USA in the 2011 University World Games.
