Women's Golf Team Tees Off At NCAA Regional

North Carolina begins play today at the NCAA South Bend Regional. This marks Carolina's 22nd appearance in an NCAA Regional since the Regional format was instituted in women's golf in 1993. The Tar Heels advanced to the NCAA Championships from the Regionals 10 times and have been to the NCAA Championships 14 times.
Carolina is coming off its top performance of the year, tying for third place at the ACC Championships. Lexi Harkins and Bryana Nguyen both tied for 11th place at 1-under-par 215. Leslie Cloots tied for 17th while Maia Schechter tied for 21st and Cheni Xu tied for 29th.
The Tar Heels will begin first round play today at 8:54 off the #10 tee. Carolina is paired with Kentucky and Harvard. Live scoring is available on GoHeels.com and Golfstat.com.
