Cameron Morra Joins UNC Women's Tennis Program

CHAPEL HILL - Cameron Morra of Rockville, Maryland, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University of North Carolina and compete on the women's tennis team, announced Monday by head coach Brian Kalbas.
"Everyone in our program is so excited that Cameron is going to be a Tar Heel," said Kalbas. "She comes from such a highly supportive family and they have all played a huge part in her development. Cameron is extremely talented, but it's her work ethic and incredible team first mentality that separates her from her peers. Cameron had many great offers and we can't be more excited that she has chosen UNC."
Morra, who has competed on the pro tennis circuit since the age of 14, is currently ranked 1153 in singles and 884 in doubles according to the WTA. In 2017, she has competed in WTA premier events, the Volvo Car Open in Charleston, South Carolina, and the Citi Open in Washington, D.C.
Her father, David, taught her the game at an early age and has been Cameron's coach ever since. Morra has trained alongside her younger sister, Sloane, as well as the MW Tennis Academy in Daniel Island, South Carolina, and the Junior Tennis Training Center (JTTC) in College Park, Maryland.
