Nguyen, Tar Heels In 11th Through 36 Holes In Mexico

SAN JOSE DEL CABO, MEXICO - The University of North Carolina women's golf team wrapped up round two of the Battle at the Beach Saturday, shooting 16-over-par 300. The Tar Heels are 26-over par and in 11th on the weekend.Â
Brynn Walker led Carolina on the day, shooting a 74 and is tied for 54th. After a career day on Friday, Bryana Nguyen shot a 75 in round 2 but still remains high on the leaderboard in a tie for 11th at 1-over par.
Kelly Whaley also shot a 75 and is tied for 42nd. Ava Bergner rounded out the scoring on the day after shooting a 76. Bergner is tied for 54th. Mariana shot a 78 and is tied for 70th.
Jennifer Kupcho of Wake Forest continues to lead all players at 5-under par after shooting a 70 in round 2. Oklahoma maintained its five-shot lead over the field after shooting 3-under par Saturday. The Sooners are at 6-under through 36 holes.
