North Carolina (19-1, 6-0 ACC) won the doubles point after earning wins on courts three and one, in that order. Chloe Ouellet-Pizer and Rachael James-Baker teamed up for the first time in a couple weeks and won 6-2 over Sansitha Nandakumar and Luisa Uscocovich.
Top ranked Jessie Aney and Hayley Carter clinched the opening point, 6-3, over Caroline Daxhelet and Francesca Fusinato.
No. 2 Carter made it 2-0 Tar Heels with a 6-1, 6-3 win over No. 108 Francesca Fusinato, and it quickly became 3-0 when #77 Makenna Jones defeated Daxhelet, 6-2, 6-1, on court four.
On court five, Ouellet-Pizer secured Carolina's 34th-straight ACC regular season victory with a 6-2, 6-1, win over Nandakumar.
No. 23 Aney outlasted #97 Natalie Novotna, 6-4, 6-4 and James-Baker won over Katherine Butler, 0-6, 7-6 (4), 1-0 (10-6), on court six.
No. 40 Alexa Graham made it a clean sweep over the Hokies, 7-6 (9), 6-0, on court three.
Carolina hosts Virginia on Sunday at 1 p.m.
