North Carolina (22-1, 8-1 ACC) cliched the double sprint when Cassandra Vazquez and Alexa Graham earned a 6-1 victory over Brooke Broda and Allison Miller on court two.
No. 3 Hayley Carter was the first of five Tar Heel singles players to post a straight-set win over the Irish, who fall to 16-5, 7-4 in the conference.
On court six, Chloe Ouellet-Pizer held of Rachel Chong in a third-set super breaker to make it a perfect afternoon for UNC.
Carolina remains on the road for two matches next weekend, at Louisville on Thursday at 2 p.m. and Saturday at Wake Forest at 11 a.m.
