The North Carolina men's tennis team is ranked third in the final ITA poll of the season, the highest in program history. The ITA announced the season-ending poll on Wednesday.
Atlantic Coast Conference teams occupy the top three spots, with NCAA champion and ACC champion Virginia at No. 1, Wake Forest at No. 2 and UNC No. 3. For the complete poll, click here.
North Carolina ranked No. 2 in the final USTA national poll, which is determined by a panel of voters.
The Tar Heels finished the 2017 campaign with a record of 29-5, reaching the NCAA Championship finals. UNC was ranked 13th or better all season and has not fallen out of the top 25 in more than three years.
North Carolina finished fifth last year, which was at that time a program high.
