Tar Heel Trio Picked For NCAA Singles And Doubles Draws

North Carolina senior Robert Kelly, sophomore William Blumberg and freshman Benjamin Sigouin have been selected to play in the NCAA Men's Tennis Championships singles and doubles draws, announced Wednesday by the NCAA.
Blumberg, last year's NCAA singles runner-up, was the Atlantic Coast Conference's automatic qualifier and is the No. 2 seed in the singles draw. Sigouin received an at-large bid.
Blumberg and Kelly were the ACC's automatic qualifier in doubles and are the No. 2 seed overall.
Doubles and singles competition will run from May 23-28, following the team competition May 18-22. Both will take place at Wake Forest Tennis Complex in Winston-Salem, N.C.
On Tuesday, the Tar Heels were announced as an at-large selection for the team tournament and a host for first and second-round matches. Seventh-seeded UNC will open NCAA play on May 12 against Campbell, with Tennessee and UNC-Wilmington meeting in the other first-round match. The winners play on March 13 to move on to Winston-Salem.
