UNC To Host Sports And Entertainment Summit

CHAPEL HILL—More than 20 Carolina alumni with prominent roles in the world of entertainment will discuss their industries, their career paths and the importance of innovation and change at the inaugural UNC Sports and Entertainment Summit on Oct. 12 and 13.

The summit's theme is "Innovation Made Fundamental," and Jim Delany, Commissioner of the Big Ten Conference and UNC alumnus who helped innovate the world of college athletics with the creation and launch of the Big Ten Network as well as the expansion of the Big Ten Conference to 14 members, will serve as the keynote speaker at the Summit.

The event will be held in the Blue Zone of Kenan Memorial Stadium on Oct. 12, and at the Stone Center Auditorium on Oct 13. Tickets will be $60 for both days, and includes an evening reception on Oct. 12. The event is aimed to help students on their path to successful careers in sports and entertainment, but is open to all.
