KIger & Soendergaard Advance At ITA National Fall Championships

NEWPORT BEACH, CALIF.—The University of North Carolina's Mac Kiger and Simon Soendergaard won their second-round match on Thursday night at the 2019 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, beating David Stevenson and Oscar Cutting of Memphis, 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (7) in the second round.
Kiger and Soendergaard, who upset the event's top seed and sixth-ranked doubles team on Wednesday night in the first round, move onto Friday's quarterfinals, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time. They will face Baylor's Ryan Dickerson and Matias Soto.
Meanwhile in the singles bracket, UNC's Josh Peck, dropped a 6-2, 5-7, 7-6 (3) decision in the singles consolation draw to Gregor Ramskogler of Mississippi State.
