Tar Heels Move Into Nation's Top Five

North Carolina has moved into the top five in the ITA national rankings for men's tennis, and four Tar Heel players are ranked in the top 100 in singles.
The Tar Heels moved up three spots to No. 5 after reaching the semifinals of the ITA National Team Indoor Championship last weekend in Chicago. Now 7-2 on the season, UNC is idle this week and hosts Duke on Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. to open Atlantic Coast Conference play.
In the ITA singles rankings, junior Josh Peck leads the team at No. 48, down from 36. Sophomore Benjamin Sigouin is at No. 52 after not being included in the last ranking. Junior William Blumberg is at No. 68, down from 52. Freshman Brian Cernoch is at No. 100, down from 77.
