O'Connor Leads Eight Tar Heels In NCAA Wrestling Brackets

INDIANAPOLIS --- All eight North Carolina wrestlers heading to the 2019 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships have received their initial seeds as the brackets for next week's tournament were announced by the NCAA Wednesday. Redshirt freshman Austin O'Connor leads the way for Carolina as the No. 6 seed at 149 pounds, and all 33 wrestlers at each weight are seeded this year for the first time.With eight wrestlers qualified, head coach Coleman Scott's team matches last year's total as the most Tar Heels at nationals since the 1999 team had nine.
