UNC Well Represented In Final National Rankings

North Carolina women's tennis placed five singles players and two doubles teams in the final rankings release of the 2019 season.

Carolina is the only team in the country with two doubles tandems included in the top 10. Jessie Aney and Alexa Graham are No. 6, while Makenna Jones and Cameron Morra check in 10th.

Jones and Graham remained No. 5 and No. 7 respectively, after the NCAA Championships came to an end last weekend.

Meanwhile, Sara Daavettila moved ahead eight places to No. 12 in the country behind a strong postseason that saw the junior standout win eight-consecutive singles matches and reach the singles quarterfinals.

Morra jumped up 25 spots to No. 21 in her rookie campaign after making a strong run to the semifinals of the NCAA Singles Championship.

Aney moved back into the rankings at No. 107 in her final season with the Tar Heels.

Carolina finished the 2019 season No. 3, extending its streak to seven-consecutive seasons ranked in the top 5. The No. 3 ranking ties the 2010, 2014 and 2018 squads for the best finish in program history.
