Walker Advances To Round Of 32 At U.S. Women's Amateur

WEST POINT, Miss. — Rising senior Brynn Walker advanced to the round of 32 at the 119th U.S. Women's Amateur Championship at The Old Waverly Golf Club on the 6,488-yard, par 72 course on Wednesday.
Walker shot one over through the front nine, carding a birdie on the third hole. She held mostly even with the course through 16 and entered the final two holes +2 and one down on her opponent. Walker came back with back-to-back birdies to go up one on Julia Potter-Boss and even on the day. Walker shot an even, 72 with five birdies on the first day of match play.
Walker tees off in the round of 32 at 8:05 a.m. CT with Stanford's Albane Valenzuela on Thursday, August 8 in West Point, Mississippi.
