No. 4 Tar Heels Go 5-1 In Day 1 At Alabama Spring Shootout

TUSCALOOSA, ALA.—Members of the fourth-ranked University of North Carolina men's tennis team went 5-1 in action at the Alabama Spring Shootout on Saturday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility.

For UNC, Josh Peck, Brian Cernoch and Ladd Harrison won singles matches, while the Tar Heel doubles teams of Cernoch and William Blumberg and Peck and Mac Kiger won in doubles.

All the day's matches were delayed for several hours due to severe weather in Alabama but resumed in the evening.
Â
The Tar Heels will return to action on Sunday morning beginning at 11 a.m. Central with more doubles and singles competition before returning to Chapel Hill. Â
Â
Carolina's spring 2020 dual season begins next weekend at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center against North Carolina Central on Saturday and Wofford on Sunday.
