Kiger Heading Home For New York Invitational

CHAPEL HILL—University of North Carolina junior Mac Kiger is among 24 American collegiate tennis players who will compete in the USTA New York Open College Wild Card Invitational on New York's Long Island starting on Thursday.
The winner of the tournament will have the chance to earn a spot in the qualifying draw for the New York Open, to be held February 9-16 at NYCB Live, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Kiger will face Columbia's Jackie Tang on Thursday at 8 a.m.
This weekend's event, which runs Thursday through Sunday, is an invite-only tourney for American college players with ties to the New York area.
