Neglia Earns Third ACC Honor of the Fall

GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the third time this season, UNC freshman Sasha Neglia has earned Atlantic Coast Conference honors. She was named Wednesday by the league as the ACC Cross Country Female Freshman of the Week.
Neglia led the women's 6K field Friday at the ACC Tri-Meet in Kernersville, N.C. For the second time in her three collegiate meets, Neglia crossed the finish line first, winning in a time of 21:07.60. It was her first 6K meet as a Tar Heel and keyed UNC's first-place team finish over Wake Forest and NC State.

ACC Men's Performer of the Week – Paul Stafford, Florida State, Jr., Lake Wales, Fla.
ACC Women's Performer of the Week – Addi Coggins, Florida State, Sr., Franklin, Tenn.
ACC Men's Freshman of the Week – Wes Porter, Virginia, Fr., Kansas City, Mo.
It's the second week in a row Neglia has earned the freshman honor. She was named ACC Performer of the Week in September following the first race of the season.
Next up for the Tar Heels is the ACC Championship on Oct. 30 in Cary, N.C.
