No. 13 North Carolina Set To Open Season Against Campbell

No. 13 North Carolina kicks off its dual meet season Friday at 6:00 p.m. EST when the team hosts Campbell in Carmichael Arena. The dual in Chapel Hill will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
The Tar Heels return to the mat for the first time since the ACC Championships last season, where the team notched three individual titles – Zach Sherman (141), Austin O'Connor (149) and Clay Lautt (174).
Carolina posted a 14-3 (4-1 ACC) record last season, good for a .823 winning percentage which marked the team's best since 1997. Coleman Scott's team was ranked No. 7 in the final NWCA poll of the season. The Tar Heels knocked off five ranked opponents over the course of the dual meet season, including No. 3 Virginia Tech and No. 9 Pittsburgh.
Campbell went 11-2 last season, marked by a win over No. 11 Iowa State and a first-place finish at the Southern Conference Championships.
