History of Anderson Stadium

CHAPEL HILL – On this day 14 years ago, Carolina Softball dedicated its new home of Anderson Stadium. Carolina has hosted three ACC Tournaments and two NCAA Regionals since its opening.

The Tar Heels are 331-117 on Williams Field since 2002 when UNC opened play with a doubleheader sweep of No. 20 South Carolina on Feb. 23, 2002. Their most recent win was a 3-2 victory over Syracuse on March 6.

Although Carolina's time at Anderson Stadium is finished for the season, it is filled with memories over the years with more to come in the future. Check out some moments at Williams Field since its dedication.
