Digital Ticketing Details
August 11, 2020 | General
CHAPEL HILL—With an increased emphasis in safety, security and convenience for fans, Carolina Athletics is excited to announce for the 2020-21 athletic season the transition to digital tickets for all athletic events.
As part of the policy change, purchasers will no longer receive a physical ticket but will have the option to choose from mobile or print-at-home tickets. Print-at-home (printable PDF) and mobile tickets have been offered the past few years for many Carolina Athletics events and have been adopted by our fans at a high rate.
Beginning in the Fall of 2020 all purchasers will receive their tickets via email, allowing them to download their mobile tickets into their Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Pay Wallet (Android) or print their print-at-home tickets before arrival. Prior to entering the gates, ticketholders will take out their tickets (either the printable PDF or from their mobile wallet) to scan into the venue.
All fans will also have access to My Account 2.0 via their GoHeels.com/tickets account. My Account 2.0 eases the ability to transfer tickets to friends and family and has a seamless process to resell tickets on StubHub – all from your mobile phone!
Further instruction on how to transfer tickets and sell tickets via StubHub will be provided closer to the start of the 2020 season.

- Moving away from traditional tickets allows Carolina Athletics to extend season-ticket payment deadlines closer to the start of each season and eliminate any shipping errors or delays.
- For the 2020 football season, seats located in the Blue Zone will still have physical tickets.
- Yes, you can have all tickets on one device. We strongly encourage you to transfer a ticket to each member of your party through My Account 2.0 at goheels.com/tickets. This will allow for the easiest entry and access throughout the venue.
- Ticket transfers are available until one hour before game time. With My Account 2.0, you can send the tickets via text message by entering in their cell phone number. Once your guest follows the prompts to login to a current account or create a new account, they will be able to add the ticket to their phone.
- No, tickets can only be transferred directly through your online account. Ticket screenshots will not be accepted at the gate to reduce fraud and counterfeit tickets.
- To assist with the ease of this transition, print-at-home tickets are still allowed in venues for 2020-21. If you do not have access to a printer of any kind or a smartphone, please contact the UNC Ticket Office at 800-722-4335 and we will be able to assist. On gamedays, please visit the on-site box office and present valid photo ID that matches the name associated with the account and the office will be able to re-print your tickets.
- Prior to your arrival, we highly recommend downloading your tickets to the Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Pay (Android). Once the tickets are downloaded into your respective wallet, you do not need Wi-Fi or connectivity to access the tickets. If you do not download the tickets in advance of the game and have no connectivity, please visit the on-site box office for assistance with a valid photo ID that matches the name associated with the account.
- With My Account 2.0, it has never been easier to access your tickets. You will be able to download your tickets directly from your account to your mobile device.
- Printed mobile tickets will not be accepted at the gate as they slow down ingress significantly. Please bring your mobile ticket up on your mobile device at the gate. Please note that print-at-home tickets are still accepted. If you do not have access to a smartphone but selected to receive a mobile ticket, please contact the UNC Ticket Office to have your tickets sent for you to print-at-home.Â
- Most parking passes will be transitioned to print-at-home or mobile as well. For football, the following lots will still have physical parking passes:
- Stadium Drive
- RV Lot
- Purchasers will be notified when their tickets will be delivered.
- Yes, ticket transfers and the ability to post on StubHub will be available prior to being sent the tickets. Ticket purchasers will be notified via email when tickets are able to be transferred to guests.
- Please contact the UNC Ticket Office during normal business hours, 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday via email at tickets@unc.edu, and phone at 800-722-4335
