Tar Heel Wrestling Inks Three in Fall Signing Period

CHAPEL HILL – North Carolina wrestling signed a class of three to National Letters of Intent during the fall signing period.
Cole Hunt, Danny Nini, and Jayden Scott make up the Tar Heels signing class.
Cole Hunt, a projected 125-pounder from Cass High School in Georgia, is ranked as the No. 53 overall recruit and No. 10 in his weight class. Hunt is a National Prep finalist and finished sixth at the 2021 Junior Nationals. He also finished first at the 2021 NHSCA Nationals and is a three-time Georgia State Champion.
Out of Orlando, Fla., Danny Nini is the highest-ranked member of the class as the No. 26 overall recruit and No. 5 in the 141-weight class. A Florida state champ, he also finished first at the 2021 NHSCA Nationals. Most recently, Nini earned a third-place finish at Super 32 and a fourth-place finish at the 2021 Junior Nationals.
Rounding out the Tar Heels fall period signing class is Jayden Scott. Scott joins the Tar Heels as the No. 41 overall recruit at 157/165 pounds. Scott comes to Chapel Hill from Rush-Henrietta High School in Henrietta, N.Y. At Rush-Henrietta, he was a New York State Champion.
