Tar Heels Set For NCAA Championships

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Both the UNC men's and women's cross country teams will compete for NCAA titles on Saturday, racing at the NCAA Championships, hosted by Florida State at Apalachee Regional Park.
The women's 6K race starts at 10:20 a.m. and the men's 10K race begins at 11:10 a.m.

This the first time since 2014 that both Tar Heel teams are in the field. The UNC women qualified by finishing second at the NCAA Southeast Regional last Friday in Kentucky. The Carolina men placed third there and then on Saturday received an at-large bid.
The Carolina women qualified as a team last season for the first time since 2014. Racing in Stillwater, Okla., Carolina placed 14th overall, the program's best finish since 2010.
