Lautt Named ACC Wrestler of the Week

CHAPEL HILL – North Carolina Tar Heel Clay Lautt was named ACC Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday afternoon following a perfect dual week. He's the second-straight UNC wrestler this season to bring home the award.
Lautt tallied six dual points for the Tar Heels, the first three against No. 19 Wisconsin on Saturday night at the Garden State Grapple in Newark, N.J. The graduate student picked up his second straight ranked win in a 6-1 decision against No. 8 Andrew McNally. The victory was the highest-ranked win of his career.
The Olathe, Kan., native's second win came over Connor O'Neil of No. 15 Rutgers. Lautt held his opponent scoreless and picked up the 4-0 decision to wrap up an undefeated day.
