Golf Invitational in Arizona Honors Fallen Service Members
University of North Carolina freshman David Ford tied for 15th after a final round 69 in the Patriot All-America Golf Invitational Friday in Litchfield Park, Ariz.

Ford shot 64-71-69 to finish 6-under-par 204. He tied for 15th in an 85-player field that was invited to participate by the Patriot All-America committee, which includes members of the Folds of Honor and Golf Coaches Association of America.

Ford had three top-10 finishes in four fall starts for the Tar Heels, including a second-place finish at the Williams Cup at Eagle Point.

Georgia Tech's Connor Howe won the Patriot at 15-under 195, shooting a pair of 66s and a final-round 63. Howe won by three strokes over Notre Dame's Palmer Jackson.

The Patriot All-America Invitational is in its 11th year. Each player honors a fallen or injured member of the armed services by carrying a golf bag with the name of that service member.
