Final 2021 Rankings Feature #1 Doubles Team

Fiona Crawley and Elizabeth Scotty are the No. 1 doubles team in the country according to the final ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings of 2021. In all, the Tar Heels have six doubles pairings and five singles players included in the national rankings released on Wednesday.
Crawley and Scotty, who never played together until mid-October, closed the fall season with an unblemished 10-0 record and won the ITA Fall National Championship doubles title in early November.
Senior Cameron Morra and sophomore Reilly Tran close the year out No. 5 and No. 7, respectively, in the singles rankings. Morra picked up five wins over nationally-ranked players with three coming over top-30 opponents.
Tran, who won the prestigious Milwaukee Tennis Classic, also knocked off five ranked players among her 10 victories this fall, including a win over No. 8 Natasha Subhash of Virginia.
Freshman Carson Tanguilig and sophomore Fiona Crawley are No. 13 and No. 19, respectively, to give the Tar Heels a quartet of players ranked in the top 20.
Tanguilig (10-3) earned three ranked wins in her first collegiate semester, while Crawley rolled to a 16-3 mark with eight wins over ranked players.
Junior Anika Yarlagadda (7-4) is No. 57 after knocking off a pair of ranked players this fall.
Morra and Tanguilig posted a team-high 12 doubles victories and will enter 2022 ranked No. 6, while Crawley and Tran check in at No. 16 after winning the doubles crown at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic in September.
Senior Alle Sanford and Tran (7-3) are No. 34, while Sanford and junior Kacie Harvey are No. 41 and Crawley and Yarlagadda are No. 48.
