GREENSBORO, N.C. – Leading the Tar Heels to a 4-1 weekend at Anderson Stadium, Brittany Pickett has been named the ACC Pitcher of the Week as announced Tuesday afternoon by the league office. This is Pickett's ninth ACC weekly honor in her career.

Going 3-0 on the weekend and contributing to each win, Pickett anchored the Tar Heels in the circle with 30 strikeouts in four appearances. Pickett wrapped up the weekend with back-to-back double-digit strikeout games. The Indian Trail, N.C. native tossed 12 strikeouts in a complete-game shutout vs. Syracuse before striking out 10 in the weekend finale. Pickett gave up a mere two earned runs in 21.0 innings for a 0.67 ERA.

Louisville's Taylor Roby was named the ACC Player of the Week.

Up next, the Tar Heels travel to the Crimson Classic and face Troy, Memphis and host, Alabama Friday through Sunday in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
