Men's Golf 10th in Three Polls

Tar Heels with a Win and 2nd in Three Starts
The University of North Carolina men's golf team is ranked 10th in the nation in all three current polls following the Tar Heels earning a share of the team title on February 17 at The Prestige and finishing second last week at the Wake Forest Invitational at Pinehurst No. 2.
The Tar Heels are ranked 10th by Golfstat and Golfweek and tied for 10th in the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll.
Freshman Peter Fountain of Raleigh, who has a pair of second-place finishes in his first three college tournaments, is ranked No. 17 in the country by Golfweek. Golfstat ranks Fountain the No. 7 freshman in the nation.
Carolina returns to action on Sunday, March 14, when it begins three rounds of competition in the General Hackler Championship in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Last season, UNC won the General Hackler by 13 strokes behind top-10 performances by Ryan Burnett (tied for second) and Ryan Gerard (seventh).
