Six Tar Heels will wrestle at the 2021 UWW Junior Nationals and Senior Nationals, the team announced on Tuesday. NCAA qualifier Max Shaw leads the Carolina contingent that will compete in Coralville, Iowa on May 1-2.

Freshmen Wil Guida and Aydin Guttridge will be competing in the one-day Senior Nationals on May 1, while Shaw will wrestle in the Junior tournament with freshmen Gavin Kane, Cade Lautt and Sonny Santiago.

Seniors

Wil Guida, 65kg
Aydin Guttridge, 125kg

Juniors

Sonny Santiago, 74kg
Max Shaw, 92kg
Cade Lautt, 97kg
Gavin Kane, 86kg

The winners in each division of the UWW Juniors tournament will be the 2021 U.S. representative for the 2021 Junior World Team. Those who finish in the top-five of the Senior Open qualify for the 2021 Senior World Team Trials.
