Men's Tennis Set To Host NCAA Regional
May 6, 2021 | Men's Tennis
CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina will begin postseason play this weekend as the No. 6 overall seed in the 64-team field for the 2021 NCAA men's tennis tournament.
Carolina will host Presbyterian (11-6) in the first round on Saturday May 8 at 1 p.m. at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill. Presbyterian is the alma mater of Tar Heel head coach Sam Paul.
The winner of that match will advance to Sunday's second round to meet either Oklahoma State or Navy, who will meet in Chapel Hill at 10 a.m. on Saturday in a first-round match.
The Tar Heels have earned NCAA Tournament bids 25 times under Paul's tutelage. Carolina is hosting NCAA Tournament matches for the seventh consecutive year and eighth in the last nine.
UNC is 19-3 this season entering NCAA Tournament play. In February, the Tar Heels won their second ITA National Team Indoor Championship with wins over Tennessee, Virginia and Baylor. Three weeks ago at the ACC Tournament, the Tar Heels reached the championship match with wins over Virginia Tech and Wake Forest before falling to Virginia, which earned the No. 5 overall NCAA seed.
NCAA Tennis Ticket Info
• Tickets are on sale now for the first and second round of the men's and women's NCAA tournament. Tickets are $5 apiece, and inventory is limited due to capacity restrictions.

• The stadium will be cleared on Saturday between the men's first round and women's second round, so two tickets would be needed that day for the separate rounds.
