Final Women's Tennis Rankings For 2021

The final Oracle ITA Division I Women's Tennis rankings for the 2021 season were released on Wednesday. The Tar Heels boast eight players in the singles rankings, while NCAA champions Makenna Jones and Elizabeth Scotty earned the No. 1 ranking to highlight six doubles teams included in the doubles rankings.Â
Sara Daavettila and Alexa Graham both finish their outstanding five-year careers among the top-10 singles players in the nation. Daavettila is No. 3, while Graham made a significant jump in the rankings to finish No. 10.Â
Jones, who also returned for an additional season, is No. 39, while junior Cameron Morra and freshman Fiona Crawley is No. 49 and No. 53, respectively.
The remaining ranked players are No. 107 Anika Yarlagadda, No. 112 Scotty and No. 122 Reilly Tran.Â
In addition to Jones and Scotty grabbing the top spot in doubles, the combination of Daavettila and Morra finish No. 3 and Alle Sanford and Tran at No. 36.Â
The other ranked doubles tandems include No. 67 Sanford and Scotty, No. 71 Morra and Scotty and No. 75 Daavettila and Graham.Â
