First Tar Heel Named to Team Honoring the Golden Bear
Peter Fountain, a Raleigh native and rising sophomore men's golfer at the University of North Carolina, was named to the 2021 All-Nicklaus team by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Â
The team, presented by True Spec Golf, is named for legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus, whose son Jackie played for the Tar Heels from 1981-85. Fountain is the first Tar Heel named to the Nicklaus team, which began in 2008.
