Six From Women's Tennis Start Fall Season Nationally Ranked

Ahead of the start of the fall tennis season, the ITA Division I Women's Preseason Rankings were released on Tuesday. North Carolina will begin the 2021-22 campaign with six nationally-ranked players on its roster.Â
Senior Cameron Morra leads a group of five included on the singles list at No. 32. She is joined by sophomore No. 35 Fiona Crawley, junior No. 78 Anika Yarlagadda, junior No. 82 Elizabeth Scotty and sophomore No. 88 Reilly Tran.
Senior Alle Sanford and Tran are No. 15 in the doubles rankings, while Morra and Scotty are No. 17.
Carolina opens the fall portion of its schedule at the Furman Invitational from Sept. 17-19 in Greenville, South Carolina, and the Milwaukee Classic from Sept. 18-20.Â
