Lautt Named ACC Co-Wrestler Of The Week

CHAPEL HILL – North Carolina Tar Heel Clay Lautt was named ACC Co-Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday afternoon, following two hard-fought wins this past weekend. This will be the second time he has been named ACC Wrestler of the Week this season and the fourth time overall a UNC wrestler has received the honor.
Lautt tallied six dual points for the Tar Heels, the first three against rival Duke. The graduate student picked up the 8-5 decision over No. 13 Matt Finesilver. The victory was his third-ranked win of the season.
On Sunday afternoon, the Olathe, Kan., native's second win came over Triston Wills of Little Rock. The first two periods were back and forth, but Lautt used a late takedown to win the bout 4-3.
Lautt currently sits at 6-3 overall and in duals this season.
