Wrestling Adds Tenold Twins To 2022 Class

CHAPEL HILL – North Carolina wrestling has signed twins Cade and Carson Tenold to the 2022 signing class. The Tar Heels have now signed five wrestlers in the 2022 class.
Cade Tenold, a projected 174/184-pounder from Don Bosco High School in Gilbertville, Iowa, is currently the top-ranked 182-pound 1A wrestler in Iowa. Tenold is currently a two-time state finalist and three-time state medalist. He finished fourth at 152 pounds as a freshman and was the state runner-up at 170 pounds as a sophomore. Last February, he secured the state title at 170 with a 20-5 technical fall in the championship bout.
Twin brother Carson Tenold a projected 184/197-pounder, is the top-ranked 197-pound 1A wrestler in Iowa. He is a three-time state qualifier and claimed the 195-pound state title in 2021. In the latest Fab50, he was ranked 18 overall in Iowa and the 11th ranked senior. He currently holds an 18-2 record on the season for the top-ranked Don Bosco Dons.
